Who we are

This website, edgedock.app, is operated by Edge Crossing Systems, LLC (“we,” “us”), based in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, USA. This policy covers this website and any email you send us. It does not cover the EdgeDock product. EdgeDock runs on hardware in your office, and we do not receive the data you put into it. Your customer agreement governs our access to your system.

Visiting this website

Your browser has to send your IP address to our server to receive a page. That is how the internet works. Our web server and reverse proxy are self-hosted. We run them ourselves, with no content delivery network or third-party host between you and us. They use your IP address only to send the page back to you and do not write it to disk.

Our server keeps a basic request log for troubleshooting. Each entry holds only:

• the date and time of the request,
• the page or file requested,
• the response status (for example, “found” or “not found”), and
• the response size.

These logs contain no IP address, no referring page, and no browser or device information, so they can't identify you. We delete them automatically after 14 days.

Security exception: if our systems come under active attack, we may temporarily record the network addresses involved in order to block the attack. We use those records for no other purpose and delete them within 14 days, unless we need them to report a crime.

Cookies and local storage: none. This site doesn't set cookies or store anything in your browser.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we don't track anyone, so these signals are honored by default.

DNS: Cloudflare, Inc. provides the domain name service that points edgedock.app at our server. It does not proxy, host, or see the traffic to this site. When your device looks up our domain name, the request normally goes through your internet provider's DNS resolver (or one you chose), which then asks Cloudflare. Cloudflare usually sees that resolver, not you.

Emailing us

If you email sales@edgecrossingsystems.com, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, email address, organization, and message. We use it only to respond to you and, if you become a customer, to work with you.

Our email is hosted by Proton AG (Proton Mail) in Switzerland, where messages are stored encrypted. Proton handles our mail on our behalf and doesn't use it for its own purposes.

We delete inquiry emails that don't lead to a business relationship within 12 months. If they do, we keep correspondence for as long as the relationship and our legal record-keeping obligations require. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.

Please don't send privileged or confidential client information in an initial inquiry. A general description of what you need is enough to start the conversation.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don't “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms.
• We don't add you to a mailing list or send marketing email unless you ask us to.
• We don't buy data about you, combine it with other sources, or build profiles.
• We don't use anything you send us to train AI models.

When we might disclose information

We would disclose information only to comply with a valid legal requirement such as a subpoena or court order. We will notify you first unless the law prohibits it, and we will challenge requests we believe are overbroad. Because we keep so little, there is usually very little to disclose.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. Email sales@edgecrossingsystems.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for making a request. If you're in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you're in the EU or UK: we process email correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering inquiries you send us, or to take steps toward a contract at your request. We process the minimal server data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website.

Security

All connections to this site are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Our servers sit behind a firewall we manage ourselves. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but the best protection is to keep very little data in the first place, and that is how we operate.

Children

This website is intended for legal professionals and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date above. We won't reduce your protections for information we already hold without your consent.
